The twinkle wheel is a disk of alternating metal strips and clear areas. As it rotates in the beam of light from the halogen bulb the twinkle wheel casts alternating light and shadow over the fibre ends in the common end ferrule. As the shadow passes over each fibre the amount of light introduced into it is momentarily reduced, and this results in a twinkling effect in the stars on the ceiling.

Fibre Optic Light Source

The MH-570 is a robust utility light source that is manufactured specifically for Starscape. The light source power output options are 35, 50, 75 and 100 watts.

Twin electrical feeds

MH-570-2 Variant

The MH-570-2 is supplied with a separate power feed to the colour wheel motor allowing more control over the colour change.

The chief benefit of this is that if you have the colour wheel installed you can select static colours by turning the colour wheel motor on and off, independently of the main power supply.

Common end ferrulesCommon end Ferrules

Common end ferrules are 29mm OD. Internal bores vary, so as to accommodate fibre harnesses of different thickness.
