Customer project 6 - Star ceiling panel

These two star ceiling panels in the showroom of AV Acoustics in Cannock are simply a variation on the basic prefabricated star panel as shown in Project 2. 

This Home Cinema and Home Automation company made the panels itself, using fibre and lightsources supplied by Starscape. However, instead of simply using an mdf panel, the company used a glossy Foamalux sheet as the facing material of the panel, fixed in turn to a sheet of mdf for rigidity.


As you can see the density of stars in the panel is very high, making this a time-consuming but very effective installation.


A star ceiling has been created by putting optical fibres into a panel of glossy black Foamalux.
This star ceiling panel has been created using a panel of Foamalux, a lightweight foamed pvc product which is easy to work with.


Using a prefabricated panel is an effective way of getting a star ceiling into a downstairs room.
