LED Flexible Tape installation
The curvy nature of the recess ceiling feature in this two room lighting project called for a flexible solution. We used 4 x 6 metre lengths of LED ribbon tape in each room.
The ribbon tape was installed shining up towards the ceiling on a curvy overhang edge that surrounded a central recess. The architect wanted a diffuse but bright white light without any ‘pooling’ associated with conventional halogen up lighters.
The tape seen from above showing the high density of LED’s at 60 per metre. The oblong holes are cut outs for air conditioning ducts.
Finally, the room lit by the ribbon tape in the ceiling recess and rigid LED RGB strips in the recess around the perimeter. Unfortunately the perimeter lighting was set to white for this photo. Colour change on this page.
