Micro lens end fittings
Size: Length 14mm, barrel diameter 3.5mm, flange diameter 4.5mm
These end fittings are supplied in two sizes to accept 0.75 and 1.00mm diameter fibre.
The fibre simply pushes into the barrel of the fitting and is gripped firmly by the taper inside.
Installation sequence:
Decide on the star layout, drill the appropriate amount of holes with a 3.5mm drill. Introduce your fibres from above or behind your display. Push the fibre firmly into the micro lens then push the lens into the hole in the ceiling.
A small dab of adhesive can be added, but if you've drilled the holes carefully the lens should stay in place without requiring adhesive.
However, please do take our word for it - your star ceiling will look much nicer if you use bare fibre ends, rather than these end fittings.
