Project 9 - Games room star panel near Marbella.
A stylised view of the Solar System (sourced via Getty Images) makes a spectacular backdrop to this games room design created by Sceen Designs. Although this was technically a very simple job, Starscape was asked to carry out the installation in an impressive new villa in Malaga.
The artwork had been neatly glued to a set of five 19mm thick MDF panels with the artwork wrapped around the edges so as to give a nice seamless finish at the vertical joints. 350 fibre optic star points were created, using fibres in a range of diameters from 0.75 to 2.00mm so as to create an authentic 3D look. The fibres were powered by a 75 watt Tungsten Halogen light source fitted with a twinkle wheel.
Each panel was drilled and fibred separately on site by Starscape and then hung on the wall using a split batten system. The light source was positioned in a electrical equipment room on the other side of the wall, with the fibres fed through an opening positioned centrally in the wall.

| With the fibres fitted to the panels, they are seen here waiting to be hung on the wall. |
