Project - Museum star panels.
In the summer of 2011 Starscape was commissioned by Beck Interiors to fabricate several
star panels for use in the National Museum of Scotland's Science & Technology Gallery.
The work was just a tiny part of a £47 million project to completely refurbish a large part of the museum in Edinburgh's city centre.
Several hundred fibre optic stars are included among hundreds of printed star points
to give a very high density starfield in these panels in National Museum of Scotland's Science & Technology Gallery.
Joining lines are printed on the panels to help visitors more easily identify major constellations.
Orion and Taurus can be seen just above the display case in the foreground.
